Heartbeats for Hoofbeats
Heartbeats for Hoofbeats is a five-chapter short story, based on real people in actual events, published in 2011. The writer's intent was to bring to share the story of the amazingly therapeutic effects some four-legged friends had on a couple and their physical recoveries. I and my husband, Greg, were both featured in the story, as well as several members of our family, friends, and of course, our much-loved rescued horses, Touching Fire and Little Star.
It was also to highlight the love and sacrifices made by those individuals who work so hard in animal rescue, to not only rescue, but to provide love and care until a new family and home is found for the animals in their care.
The Dark Side of Reality was a two-part short-story based on actual events (one markedly in the category of paranormal experiences) occurring during a trip, which I, and the writer, were involved in. The story was published in 2011.
41 at Midnight was a three-part short story based on actual events, published in 2011.
